PACKING SCHEDULE FOR RUTH’S HARVEST—For each TUESDAY packing, we will meet at Sites’ Mini-Storage (47 Brent Road, Fairfield) at 6:30 PM on January 12, February 9, March 2 & May 4. We must limit ourselves to 6 persons in Ruth’s Harvest’s pantry. We may need to rotate our service. Thank you for your understanding. If you are available to help, please let Missy Miller know (kmmmmiller@embarqmail.com or 717.321.0169).
The Outreach Committee has much to share as we seek to support our neighbors this Fall. We have used remaining funds from the summer family feeding program to purchase snacks for Hillside residents and Thanksgiving gift cards for the summer families. The remainder will be used to support a family at Christmas and the Blue Ridge Help Hotline.
We are also collecting monies for the Harvest Home Offering for World Hunger today and November 22. This offering helps to fund over 40 food ministries here and around the world.
Back by popular demand, we are asking the Wesley congregation to:
1) Donate new socks to be distributed at Christmas;
2) Continue to support the monthly collection for the Blue Ridge Help Hotline,
3) Donate food for Ruth’s Harvest.
Another community opportunity to also give includes:
Fairfield Food Pantry is hosting a winter scarves, hats and gloves collection for the December 20 Food Pantry pick-up. Donations can be dropped off inside the back door of the Fairfield Mennonite Church, 201 West Main St., Fairfield. The goal is 225 scarves—one for each person.
