SUNDAY MESSAGE January 31, 2021

Posted by on Jan 29, 2021

JOIN US FOR WORSHIP and the message “An Unclean Spirit” from Pastor Kim Phillips based on Mark 1:21-28 this Sunday at 9:30 AM in the comfort and safety of your own home.
Visit our Facebook page at about 9:25 AM for a music video to prepare ourselves for worship, then the message at 9:30 AM and another music video to help us reflect on the message. You may also view the message on YouTube.
Opening Prayer (in unison)
God of our lives, we come this morning wanting to be truly your people. Teach us to discern between truth and falsehood. Keep us from causing another to stumble even as we offer encouragement to those who are seeking to change. Remake our lives that we love and live more fully in you. Touch our hearts with your word that we may rededicate our lives to your son, Jesus Christ. Amen

Ruth’s Harvest Fairfield is in need of the following items; all in individual serving sizes: Ramen Noodles, oatmeal, raisins, green bean cups and mac & cheese. You can leave items between our church doors or drop them at the Carroll Valley Borough Office in the box as you go in the front doors.

On-Going Collections Include items for the Blue Ridge Help Hotline (Food Bank) and Ruth’s Harvest.

RELIEF FOR FAMILY WHO LOST THEIR HOME A local family recently lost much of their belongings due to a fire in their home. They are still trying to figure out where they will relocate, therefore there is no place to store furniture or other large items right now. Boys shoes size 2.5, boys’ clothing size 7, and a car seat/stroller are the most needed items. DEADLINE to receive gifts toward our gift card is February 7.
Ways WE CAN help:
  • Send a monetary offering to Wesley Chapel (654 Old Waynesboro Road, Fairfield PA 17320) to help purchase a gift card for the family. Please designate your offering for the “Fruitwood Fire” effort.
  • Drop off gift cards at the Fairfield Elementary School or Carroll Valley Borough Offices in the gray mailbox on the top steps.
  • Clothing/shoes/car seat/stroller can be dropped off at 12 Lakeside Trail. They are asking for a stroller that the car seat fits into since space is tight right now.
