Health Ministries
Caring for Body, Mind and Spirit
The work of the Health Ministries Team is ramping up again! We are so grateful to them for guiding us through the pandemic with NO spread within our congregation! Our members remained faithful to God’s call at Wesley Chapel by observing safety protocols and continuing to support our ministries. Becky Buffington made hand-sewn cloth face masks to help prolong the life of health care workers and their medical protection devices.
Our charge-wide Health Ministries team cares for and educates our communities about health issues. In all 3 of the Summer Food deliveries, we include health-related literature of all kinds.
Free blood pressure screenings have returned on the first Sunday of each month, right after worship (10:30 a.m.) in our fellowship hall.
The Health Ministries team is also active in the community, participating in prayer vigils for health care workers, providing resources to local school nurses and education for drug use awareness, nutrition and emergency preparedness at local events.
Health Fair Blood Pressures Offered
Wesley Chapel Parish Nurses Becky Buffington and Cynde Overholtzer offered free blood pressure screenings at Seton Center, Inc.’s Health Fair in August. Thank you!
