Wesley Chapel UMC Fairfield

Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world

2022 COMMUNITY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL About 70 parents and children came to the closing program for the inaugural Fairfield Community Vacation School. So many people helped from 6 churches.

In partnership with the Fairfield Mennonite Church and their Pastor Brenda Walter, our Outreach Team provided and served the snacks, pizza, ice cream and water for the children all week.

We are VERY grateful to: Hamiltonban Township Community Park for the free use of their facilities; Kathy Lichty from Iron Springs Brethren Church for her leadership as Coordinator; Pastor Jeff and the congregation of Liberty Worship Center for their extravagant hospitality in allowing us to gather in their air conditioned building; and to Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian Church for purchasing the curriculum and manage the budget; St. John Lutheran Church for providing music; and others who supplied science experiments and activities.

2022 Lent – we gathered $800.00 for Steadfast, that will provide safe housing in a caring, supervised and home-like environment for unaccompanied homeless youth and for youth transitioning out of foster care.

April 24-May 22 – Waynesboro Pregnancy Center

May 29-June 26 – For the Love of a Veteran.

July 3-August 28 – Summer Feeding Program

We are again gathering funding and foods from April through August to be packed and delivered to 16 food insecure families. In June, we provided 3,051 servings! In 2021, God provided a total of 10,366 servings to 13 families! Due to an abundance of donations, 10 families also received gift cards at Christmas. Please see Missy (717.321.0169) with questions.

RUTH’S HARVEST – FAIRFIELD  From September thru April, we gather a monthly collection of individual serving foods such as fruits, vegetables, popcorn, non-refrigerated milk, cereal, pasta meals, pudding, Jell-O, oatmeal, mac & cheese, Ramen noodles, pop tarts, kid-friendly soups, 100% juices, etc.

We ask the Wesley Chapel congregation and our neighbors to continue their support of the monthly collection for the Blue Ridge Food Bank.

At Easter 2022, we sent a $100.00 gift in support of the Pregnancy Ministry in Waynesboro.
